Our fruit produce are harvested directly from farm and delivered to our packing facilities daily, with our own temperature controlled refrigerated trucks. Each farm that we source our fruits from, has met our pre-harvest and post-harvest standards in order to maintain the quality in all stages of production. Pre-harvest standards include the management of soil and plant protection. Post-harvest standards include the management of fruit handling, packing and sorting.
Our quality control team, upon receiving of newly harvested fruits, will further conduct a thorough inspection of the fruits. Our team will check the fruits for cleanliness, whether the fruits are free of bruised, indented or crack marks and deterioration rendering them unfit for consumption. Fruits that do not pass the quality control will be discarded to prevent further contamination to other batches. We adhere to these standards strictly to achieve excellence in quality.
We sort and grade our fruits depending on the demands that best suits our clients. Different clients require different requirements. For instance, grade requirements, size requirements, ripeness requirements, etc. Once we understand our clients’ needs, we will sort and grade the fruits to their requirements. Sorting and grading the fruits per clients’ requirements is a crucial step in the production process. Properly sorted and graded fruits can mutually benefit both clients and consumers.
Two methods of sanitizing are used depending on the type of possible related contamination. Dry Brushing is for cleaning contaminants that are visible on the peel and Dry Air Spray Blowing to clean contaminants that are unreachable (especially in the case for Mangosteen where most contaminants are hidden in the calyx). Once sanitized, it will then be inspected by the Ministry of Agriculture Agency for Agricultural Quarantine to obtain the Phytosanitary Certificate.
Packaging used for our packing are of good quality, hygienic and free of any foreign material and smell. Materials used inside the packaging are also of good quality and are made from non-toxic materials. Most importantly, all packaging is designed to protect the fruits from damage that can result from impact damage and/or poor environmental conditions during handling and distribution. The contents of each package are uniformed and contain only the fruits of the same grade, size and ripeness.
At the final stage of our process, all deliveries and exports of fruits are done through cold chain. This is to ensure that the temperature-sensitive produce remains at the required temperature throughout the journey before it arrives at its final destination. Fruits will be delivered from our packing house to the cargo handlers in our own refrigerated trucks and once the transition has been made, the cargo handlers will then process the exportation of the produce under temperatures that has been requested by us.
